Baked Chicken Tikka

Baked Chicken Tikka - Domestic CEO


500g chicken breasts (cut into medium-sized chunks)
1 tbsp vinegar
4 cloves of crushed garlic
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp chillie powder
1/2 inch piece of ginger (crushed)
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp cardamom seeds
1.5 tbsp chopped tomato
1/2 cup plain yoghurt or curd
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp salt


  1. Mix the chicken with the rest of the ingredients  and allow to marinate in the fridge overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  3. Place the chicken on the grill and bake for 20 minutes. You can choose to cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks and insert them through skewers.
  4. Turn the chunks over on the grill and bake for another 20 minutes or until it starts to char.
